Schedule Changes & Athletic Clearances DUE!

We hope everyone made it through the extreme heat wave! Due to the weather, the band had to cancel its first drill day. However, we're set to get back on track with a rescheduled drill practice this Thursday, August 28 from 4 - 9:30pm Team meal provided! We apologize to those who are leaving early to enjoy the long weekend. Please remember that an absence request form is required to avoid losing participation points.Unfortunately, the cancellation has caused a ripple effect, resulting in schedule changes for both Drill Day #2 and Drill Day #3. Please refer to this Google Doc for the most up to date schedule (LINK HERE). 

Color Guard: An additional practice has been schedule for Friday, September 5, from 4 PM to 6:30 PM to focus on learning choreography for part I of the field show! (NO BAND)

Reminder for Parents: Athletic Clearances are DUE!!!

We still have many students who have not submitted or completed their Athletic Clearance. These students are currently ineligible to participate. Please note that students who are not cleared will not be able to suit up or perform in the first football game on Sept 12! 

Students need to submit their online forms to Home Campus, as well as the hard copies of their signed Confirmation Message and the Physical LAUSD form with the doctor's signature. Our first game is on September 12, so there is still time, but please get this done as soon as possible! CLICK HERE for detailed instructions on how to compete the process!

Remind messages regarding athletic clearances were sent out on Friday. I apologize if the message seemed abrupt. Remind announcements are similar to tweets in that they have a character limit. I do my best to include pleasantries, but I sometimes don't have enough time to fully express my gratitude. I'm sorry if I came across as curt, but I appreciate your understanding! We have a few remind groups for families and its' important to know which one to join!

Dropping off & Picking up Music Students! 

I'm sure everyone is talking about the new campus layout with the long path to the music room! Unfortunately, Weddington will remain closed for the semester. Please begin using the Gym Parking Lot entrance located on Chandler as our new drop-off and pick-up location for students. This is the closest and safest location for our music students until the new performing arts building opens next semester.
